"terror strikes home"

*this was written while i was in class this morning*

i wake up every morning to something different. it could be my cat, the radio, alarm, the phone, randomness, it really doesn't matter, it's just always different. but the most recent trend has been the phone. excluding today, my past two morning have been interrupted by ringings drawing me out of my dreams. yesterday's was an accident, a known wrong number, but two days ago it was a call for someone else. however, the caller told me something that completely changed my life, but not as much as it changed other. i was told to turn on the tv, that planes had crashed into completely random things. shocked, i turned on the tv, only to see, 5 minutes later, one of the magnificent twin towers falling to the ground. the second one crumbled to its base soon after, only to pan to a view of the pentagon with a side crushed in. yet another plane gone astry. but there was more...and still another place full of passengers had to perish, their cause completely unknown. perhaps to save more lives than what was on board, perhaps an argument, the world may never know. what we do know is that it was planned. the terror and destruction sought had a mastermind behind it. tears will probably never end, sorrow and pain long to heal. and until answers are sought, the world will not cease to be shocked. if i did pary, i would. if i did attend church, i would. although i don't, i acknowledge theose with enough faith in them to turn over their problems to a higher power. so pray if you pray, go to church if you believe. turn your hearts to new your city and washington dc, lend them your strength, as they do not have enough right now to go on. united flight 93, you will live on. american flight 11, you will live on. world trade center twin towers, you will live on. world trade center employees, you will live on. pentagon employees, you will live on. tragedy rescuers, you will live on. america, you will live on.

this is for you america, nyc, those that died. a memoir.
